Midwest Specialty Chemicals' mold remediation product destroys mold, mold spores, Mycotoxins, bacteria, viruses, VOCs, MVOCs; just to name a few.

Biodegradable, non toxic and non-corrosive, our solution revolutionizes mold remediation processes and procedures for indoor air contamination. It restores indoor air quality in as little as a hour, at a fraction of traditional remediation costs. It has been shown in all testing (both laboratory and field) to be non-damaging and non-staining on virtually all surfaces.

Our solution destroys toxins (mold spores-bacteria-viruses-mycotoxins) by breaking through their outer shell, going inside and destroying them from the inside. It destroys chemicals by breaking down the chemical bonds between compounds, rendering them inert and biodegradable.

Mold remediation now is as simple as only a few steps, incredibly more effective, faster and at a much, much lower cost. Here's what it looks like:

Remove all mold/water damaged building material such as:

  • Drywall (plaster does not have to be removed-mold will not grow through it or in it only on it.
  • Paneling if on both sides. If on the outside, it can be cleaned and re-installed
  • Carpet and padding if thoroughly inundated. Can be saved by foaming on front and back if desired. Tack strips can be foamed and cleaned
  • Cabinets; to get behind to the drywall or if badly damaged.
  • Insulation if paper backing-attic insulation can be saved.
  • A lot of trim can be saved if desired.

Foaming Process (check out the FI-10V-MSC)
  • Use a full suit with hood-a full face respirator with chemical & organic cartridge and nitrile gloves
  • Mix the solution as per kit instructions
  • Pour into foamer (see portable foamers)
  • Attach compressed air supply (3-12 CFM)
  • Depress trigger and apply foam to all visually affected areas (1/4"-1/2" thick)
  • Allow to remain on surface for an hour
  • Brush residual foam with extracted mold off surface
  • Follow with stain remover if necessary

Fogging Process (check out the American Longray ULV 2680 fogger)
  • Use a full suit with hood-a full face respirator with chemical & organic cartridge and nitrile gloves
  • Mix the solution as above (remember the coverage specifications-do not mix more than is necessary for the job)
  • Pour into fogger
  • Turn fogger on and adjust settings on fogger for specified use (heavy mist for exposed wood and very dry for occupied and furnished dwellings)
  • Some delicate items (original oil paintings) may need to be covered but otherwise fine for all surfaces. Also, it will not harm electronics when applied with a dry fog.
  • Turn on the air handling system fan-remove filter
  • Begin moving fogger around rooms by pointing fog at ceilings (5-15 minutes per room-depends on size)
  • Continue until all rooms have been fogged. Leave fan on, give notification to those who will be returning to come back in 4 hours.
  • Call for testing if desired
